Sunset at Pulpit Rock by Neutron2K Sunset at Pulpit Rock by Neutron2K
Sunset at Pulpit Rock. the light was incredible on this trip and I have waited over a YEAR for these shooting conditions here.

Every time i've been to portland its been rought waves and even heavier wind. It was finally right last night.

I do believe I like this one a lot better then the other... you get the lead line and the outcrop in a desirable spot. :)

Great shot the ligh tis amazing but I think it could have been more effective if you had used a strong ND filter at least 5 stops to blur the movement of the water more. But I guess there isn't much you can do about that now.:)

hi buddy :) Thanks for the input.

I was using a 2.5 stop ND and a 0.3 stop Soft ND Grad to hold the sky back a little. I do too much long exposure on water and wanted to capture the motion on this piece rather than soften it out completely :)

Appreciated the critique tho!

:) Very great colour contrast between the blues and the yellows. And the waves are neat and dynamic. And there#s good feeling of depth (erm, is it written so?.. Deep-feeling :D): from the details of rocks to the sea and then to the lighter spot on the sky :)
