I havn't slept in 48 hours due to a lot of gaming and photography trips for sunset and sunrise in the last two days so I honestly don't know what I think of this shot at the moment.

A big reef of sea weed being pushed around by the brutal tide at Peveril Point, Swanage, Dorset, UK

Taken at Sunrise.

EDIT: Ok i've reprocessed this very quickly (in around 2 minutes). Not much done from the original just a bit of curves and brightening the highlights.

I know you might not personally like the picture too much, but I'm still happy with your decision to post it anyway. I love the colors and how the motion of the water makes it look like mist over a landscape instead of waves. It's still beautiful.

Firstly, if you are "not happy with any of the shots I took" then why would you 1. upload one? 2. ask for critique on it?? I can see no sense in that.

I quite like this image, I enjoy the colours and your attempt at capturing the movement in the scene. I love the detail of the weeds swimming around at the bottom and most of all I like the emotion of the piece, the subtle tranquil tones laid against the rush of the sea.

It feels like too much detail has been lost on the left hand side due to lighting and also exposure, the area of rocks has almost become dead space. I feel that the colours could be a little more intense to really do this image justice, they feel a little too "grey" throughout but especially in the whites of the ocean. I wonder whether a shorter exposure time would have accentuated the power of the sea more, this exposure has smoothed out much of the movement. I think the image feels a little unsharp (probably just in this web version) but even so haloing is still very obvious where the coast meets the sky. This could have been removed during your sharpening procedure with a simple mask. The lens distortion is fairly obvious on the horizon line and could have been corrected a little but that's my own personal taste. Also I can see at least 2 very obvious sensor dust spots and several more subtle ones.

All in all an interesting image of a super scene which I believe you could have worked a little harder to capture better but more importantly spent the extra time on the processing to finish it off.
