Artist's Comments

Sunrise, Hengistbury Head, Dorset, UK.

The sun comes up behind a sand dune on the beach, casting nice warm light over the ripples in the sand.

The light at hengistbury is always really soft and flat before the sun comes up (and after it sets). Its really weird.

Anyway somthing a bit different. I would of liked the ripples to have caught more light but unfortunatly it didn't happen.

Nikon D300 + Sigma 10-20mm + Lee 0.9 Hard ND + Lee 2.75 ND (forgot to take it out lol).

Photography can only represent the present. Once photographed, the subject becomes part of the past.

If we light a candle a shadow appears. The more we strive for light the bigger shadow will grow behind us.

Gorgeous; excellently composed. The tone of the clouds work beautifully with the sand. :D

this is really nice. simple and calm, beautiful light and the clouds are excellent. I would never have thought about taking this, it just goes to show. Well worth it.

Light waits for no man. You're either out there, or you miss it. Forever.
