Nice shot, looks like a beautiful place.
thanks! it was a great place. 6 hours walk up and down the pyg track to snowdon peak that stands 3.5k foot above sea level, with nearly 20kg of camera gear on your back wasn't easy tho!

thanks buddy :D

i love the place. i've only been there twice and thats been twice this month! I have a lot of shots of the area. some not so great ones due to very poor lighting. Its very hit and miss in the mountains. I don't like shooting during the day because when the light is good, its always way too harsh so I rely on sunrise/sets most of the time.

ah the key for lighting is dedication. I'malways out the door at 4am for sunrises and thats the best time of the day. that and sunset. you need to be in the area your shooting a good hour before sunrise/set and don't leave until an hour after sunrise/set. Trust me the light is amazing.

Also invest in a hotshoe spirit level and a filter system so you can use graduate neutral density filters. These balance out the brightness between the land and the sky so you can get the exposure spot on across the entire frame of the shot, rather than just the sky or the land.

That is some dedication my man
And thanks for the info,I intended to get some filters when I get my DSLR,but I`ve never heard of a Hotshoe before.

sorry i thought you were an slr shooter :) the hotshoeis what you mount a flash gun on with slrs :) you can get little spirit levels that slot on it.
