I went out this morning despite the weather being severely over cast and raining all night. I anticipated somthing was going to happen at sunrise and if it didn't, what the hell.
I walked out to the Dolphins at Lepe again in hopes that a sunrise might break through. It did eventually but only when the sun was much too high in the sky.
I love the cloud movement in this shot. My only issue with it is that I had to cut the exposure short by 2-3 minutes beacuse the tide was coming in and if i'd left it another 3 minutes I would of been knee deep in sea water. Usually that happens anyway but I was more concerned about my camera.
Anyway the image was a tad underexposed but I brought it back ok I think. I have another perfectly exposed shot from pretty much the same position but I prefer the sky in this shot. Its more dramatic.
enjoy.
The only real critique I can give is mainly the horizon is on a lean to the right which is quite distracting, clashing with the composition. Also underexposed shot, there is a bit of visible digital noise in the photo which isn't that attractive but the dark vignette kind of hides it, so it's not really an issue for me.
I think you've done a great job in capturing this scene, just a little more time and it'd be perfect! Cheers!
